Is God real?

A young soldier was attending some college courses between Assignments .

He had also completed missions in
Afghanistan.

One of the courses had a professor who was a vowed atheist.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.

He Looked to the ceiling and flatly stated,

'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform.

I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.'

The lecture room fell silent.

You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.'

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the young soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform.

The professor was out cold.

The young man went back to his seat and sat there, silently.

The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked,

'What the hell is the matter with you?

Why did you do that?'

Came the reply,

'God was too busy today protecting our soldiers who are protecting your right to talk stupid and act like an a jackass.

So, he sent me'

THIS IS GOOD, KEEP IT GOING

  1. If there was a god - he/she/it certainly wouldn't allow young, vulnerable men, from the poorest cities to be brainwashed and drafted to get maimed or killed for some fantasy cause in a far away country they've got no links with. A billion dollar war on international...goat herders, that has sent the developed world into recession.

God also wouldn't have paedophiles or hospices, and if he has allowed such things, he/she/it should let me take over, I'd do a much better job.
What kind of egotistical being would create people only to have them waste their lives away worshipping him/her/it anyway? And why don't the animals and plants have to pray too?

It's shocking that in this day and age 'intelligent' people believe the word of the Bible, written by the very same race of people who aren't even trusted today. The Bible's been re-written countless times and most of the fables within it were actually folklore long before the time of the lead character's (Jesus') fictitious birth.

God is a myth - like the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, dyslexia and society.

Religion is just a mechanism to help people with a chronic inability to GET OVER THEMSELVES (a trait universally displayed amongst virtually all humans) to face the facts that we all only get one life and then die and are lost forever.

Human beings are no less numerous, and no more important, than grains of sand on a beach.

Thanks for reading. Enjoy the rest of your life. ;)

  2. ...Non-religious scientists can be just as bad, however. They have 'parallel universes' as a surrogate for religion to help them cope. We all have some fantasy to keep us going - I myself have an imaginary girlfriend! :)
