Adulthood Sucks

Guess I will go to work now........

Parents had it tough

That is just one of a million things our kids can't even fathom.
Home computers did not even exist.  Video games.....nope
Cell phones...HA! our phones were attached to the wall.
When we were not home...we did not get calls, and there was this thing called a busy signal.
THREE channels on our black and white 13" TV with no remote and bunny ears.... THAT'S IT!
When we finally got cable, I was 14...then there was like 35 channels...woooooo
MTV was Music Television....and they played music videos.
Oh yeah only 1 MTV, only 1 HBO etc... No VH1 or Showtime or 485 of the other channels.
Could go on forever with the list.

How did we ever survive.

We actually went outside during our childhood....you kids remember what outside looks like??

One word or two?

An elderly couple, who were both widowed, had been going out with each other for a long time.
Urged on by their friends, they decided it was finally time to get married.

Before the wedding, they went out to dinner and had a long conversation regarding how their marriage might work.

They discussed finances, living arrangements and so on.

Finally, the old gentleman decided it was time to broach the subject of their physical relationship.

'How do you feel about sex?' he asked, rather tentatively.

'I would like it infrequently' she replied.


The old gentleman sat quietly for a moment, adjusted his glasses, leaned over towards her and whispered -

'Is that one word or two?'

Life before the PC

I feel old now. 
Kids today will not remember the days before the PC.
Waaaaay back when you have to even cook soup on a stove.
And the 27" console TV that you have to lay on the floor to get the good view...meant your parents were doing well.
If you had a TV in your room, it was a 13" black and white, and your friends were jealous.
Ahhh the old Commodore 64 hooked up to the TV...those were the days.
